The local authority in Maidstone operated local bus services in Maidstone until 1986 as detailed in Maidstone Transport History.

Although an attempt to detail livery is made above, from around 1976 buses appeared in a variety of colour schemes, including lilac and maroon on Leyland Leopards acquired from Nottingham to replace Atlanteans. A uniform livery began to reappear from 1986, although a number of vehicles retained the colour scheme in which they were acquired.

Operations ceased in 1992.
