Notes

Ensign were established in 1972 and built up a business selling ex London Transport Fleetlines (DMS) and other used buses. In 1984 Ensign acquired the London Pride sightseeing operation and later in the eighties, entered the London Regional Transport tendering market. In 1990, bus service operations were sold to Citybus of China, who formed Capital Citybus (now part of the First Group) leaving Ensign with its sightseeing business. In 2004, Ensign launched route X80 between Kent and Essex serving both Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres, a service which originated from positioning journeys for a rail replacement service in Kent.
