Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester Transport and its successor, GM Buses was the PTE operator serving the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester. The company had its origins in SELNEC PTE (formed in 1969). GM Buses was subsequently split into 2 companies, the northern half eventually passing to the First Group with the southern company becoming part of the Stagecoach empire.
