Blackpool Transport is the municipal operator in the west Lancashire resort. Bus services are generally within the urban areas of Blackpool and Fleetwood, although they have been extended in recent years through acquisition of neighbouring Fylde Borough Transport. Blackpool is the only operator in the UK to have retained its tramway system.
