A House Divided

In the run up to deregulation, London Country Bus Services was split into four operating companies - North East, South East, South West and North West. For a while, there was little change other than minimal changes to fleetnames and livery. Today, little remains of the London Country empire.

London Country South East's AN68 fleetname matches the vehicle type - this is a Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68 from the first batch ordered by London Country. The bus is seen on 26 October 1986 - deregulation day - at Marden, Kent working a railway emergency service.
