Gateway to the East

A selection of pictures taken in Romford in 1989. Ensign had not yet transformed itself into Capital Citybus while a new operator, Blue Triangle had appeared on the scene.

232.jpg (112468 bytes) Two Ensign Fleetlines (232 and B214) flank Thamesway 931, a Mercedes L608D minibus (D231 PPU) dating from 1986.
h105gev.jpg (100424 bytes) London County North East operated service 103 (North Romford and Rainham) in 1989 before passing it (along with this Leyland Olympian/Northern Counties H47/30F registered H150 GEV) to Grey Green.  It became Arriva London LR105 before passing to Arriva North West acquiring fleet number 3105 allocated to Manchester.
